Happy International Women’s Day!
Today is a day where the Sydney Swans celebrate the enormous contribution of all women across every section of our club, from our valued members and supporters to our devoted staff and volunteers.
It’s a day when the Club’s official female supporter group, the Ladies @ Sydney Swans, shine.
L@SS is a community of like-minded female supporters who share a passion for the Swans as well as work tirelessly through volunteering, fundraising and simply encouraging new members to join.
Established in 2010, L@SS provides a dedicated forum for female footy lovers to come together and talk about their passion for the sport.
“And our content is indicative of that,” said Natalie Fagg, a long-time L@SS Committee member and the Sydney Swans’ Head of Consumer Business.
“We’ve had members of different departments of the football club guest speak at events before, from the footy department to strength and conditioning – it’s heavily footy focused and we just love it.”
And they don’t mind the odd get together either.
“It’s a great social forum as well. Anyone can come along, they’ll be embraced by the group and meet life-long friends out of it.”
Speaking of events, L@SS will be kicking off season 2016 in style with the annual Cocktail Party.
The evening, hosted by Jude Bolton and attended by members of the 2016 playing list, is the first function on a calendar filled with exclusive events, which also includes the ever popular Ladies Lunch and High Tea.
