Sydney Swans Chairman Andrew Pridham thanked outgoing Director Lynn Ralph for her outstanding service and officially welcomed Tim Worner to the Board at Thursday night’s Annual General Meeting at the SCG.

After nine successful years as a Director, Ralph decided to retire from the position at the AGM.

Pridham thanked Ralph for her efforts over almost a decade in the position and for the role she played in growing the Club’s membership and supporter base.

“Lynn chaired the membership and fan engagement sub-committee and during this time the club enjoyed record membership numbers and consistently rated very highly in the annual member satisfaction surveys,” Pridham said.

“We have had consecutive years of record membership and hope to surpass the 50,000 mark for the first time in season 2016.

“The growth in junior memberships has also been particularly pleasing – we believe that the QBE Sydney Swans Academy has played a major role in this growth.

“Lynn also founded the women’s coterie group L@SS (Ladies at Sydney Swans) which has been an outstanding success.

“Lynn will continue to Chair L@SS in addition to playing an active role in our assessment of the merits of seeking a license for the AFL Women’s League.”

At Thursday’s AGM, Pridham also welcomed Chief Executive Officer of Seven West Media Tim Worner onto the Board of Directors.

A life-long AFL supporter and dedicated Swans member, Worner “will bring to the Board vast experience and understanding of the fast changing media industry”.

The Swans Chairman also thanked the Club’s members and long-time Principal Partner QBE, Major Partners Citi and Volkswagen, and Premier Partners and other sponsors for their unwavering support and loyalty.

The Swans and QBE are proud to celebrate their 30th year of partnership this year, which is a significant achievement for both organisations.

It was also announced at the AGM that Chairman Andrew Pridham and Director Robert Morgan have been re-appointed for a further term of three years each.
