We take a look at some of the key take outs from coach John Longmire's post match press conference following our win over Brisbane at the Gabba on Sunday night.

Summary on tonight’s win

“We know we are able to play better then what we did tonight but sometimes you just have to find a way. We were able to do that in the last quarter. Their form has been solid, they had some good players coming back tonight so they played pretty well so we had to find a way and we did.”

The positives out of the game

“The positives are the win. That is pretty important if you are looking for a positive to come out of it that is the number one that coaches look for. Sometimes if your not going as well as you would like to do then you just have to find a way. We know we can get better, we need to get better and we will be working on getting better. I was pleased we were able to get a win and dig in.”

Lance Franklin’s game

“He kicked three and in the back end of that third quarter he was important. He probably had a chance in that last quarter and dropped a couple of easy ones. He was a bit similar to the team in that we know he can get better.”

What can you improve in your game?

“You never get to a point where you are satisfied with any part of your game. We thought we made it hard for ourselves at times and we need to make it easier for ourselves to move the ball in transition. We will review it tomorrow morning as it is a short week and we will move onto the Hawks pretty quickly.”

How much are you looking forward to facing the Hawks?

“I look forward to them all. I look forward to this one and I look forward to the next one. It is an important game for us back home in Sydney and it is important to get as many supporters there as possible but in the end what is on the line is the same as what is on the line tonight. Those four points are important to both us and Hawthorn.”
