They can kick and mark, but can they cook?

That was the question faced by the Sydney Swans development squad, who took part in a My Kitchen Rules challenge over the last month at the club.

The young Swans were broken up into three cooking teams, which were led by ‘head chefs’ Dean Towers, Xavier Richards and Harry Cunningham.

Each group was given the task of serving up a three-course meal to their fellow team mates, as well as coaches Josh Francou and Nick Davis, who also doubled as the competition judges.

SwansTV was there as Towers’ team, which included Dan Robinson, Brandon Jack, Matthew Dick, Patrick Mitchell and George Hewett, served up their meal.

Towers’ group kicked off the meal with ‘home brewed’ pumpkin soup before serving up spicy chorizo pasta for the main course. The meal was then topped off with Towers’ ‘famous’ banana bread, which was served with a side of vanilla ice-cream – not surprisingly all were cooked to perfection!
