PORT needs a scalp and it needs one fast to return some confidence to the playing group.
The club has lost its way in recent weeks, morphing from a premiership contender into a side appearing more likely to make up the numbers.
A win against the Sydney Swans would certainly lift morale at the club, but the Swans are in form and it will take a spectacular effort to halt that juggernaut.
The 2012 premiers will be out to reclaim top spot after being dethroned by Hawthorn last weekend.

3. No side has laid more tackles in 2014 than the Swans, averaging 74.4 a game, while the Power is fifth with 71.8.
4. After round 14 Port Adelaide was top of the ladder and a game clear. Since then they have lost four of five games, kicking an average score of 76 points; before round 15 their average score was 111 points.
5. Despite losing two of their last three at the Adelaide Oval the Power's record at the venue remains impressive, winning eight of 10 games this season. Tthe Swans won their first game at the venue thrashing Adelaide in round three by 63 points.
6. Lance Franklin's recent form against the Power has helped cement his status as the League's No. 1 key forward according to the Official AFL Player Ratings - he has 23 goals from his last five games.
