Nick Blakey, aka ‘Lizard’ is a prodigious talent with a laser-sharp left boot, an outstanding overhead ability and searing pace. The QBE Sydney Swans Academy product booted 21 goals in 19 games for a brilliant debut season enroute to winning the club’s 2019 Rising Star award and has crafted his trade as a versatile outside ball-winners who is able to play off halfback wing or in the midfield. In 2025, the son of former Fitzroy and North Melbourne champion John Blakey celebrated his 150th career game in Round 23 earning life membership at the club. He finished the season with an average 21.4 disposals and 557.5 meters gained.
