For a third consecutive season Luke Parker’s consistency continued to shine through putting him in line as one of the top contenders to take out the Bob Skilton Medal.

Despite having his season cut short with a broken leg in Round 20 against Collingwood the 22-year-old will be looking to be named the winner of the Club Champion award on Friday night.

Parker is a hard at it midfielder who can win his own ball better than any in the competition, averaging 26 disposals and five tackles per game throughout the 2015 season.

He has also proven a strong weapon up forward with his ability to take a strong overhead mark and sharp accuracy in front of goal seeing him boot 18 goals from 19 matches this season.

There is no doubt his best game of the season came in Round 7 against Geelong when he booted five goals from his 31 disposals. His dominance was not restricted to ground level as he put on an aerial master class taking 11 marks.

After being elevated to the clubs leadership group at the start of the season a clear capability to be able to take control of key moments within a game became evident from the star midfielder.

Given his consistency to have an impact upon a match there is little doubt Parker’s name will feature prominently in Friday night’s vote count.
