Sydney Swans co-captain Callum Mills has undergone post-season shoulder surgery.

Mills suffered the injury during a post-season event and underwent surgery last week.

The timeline for his recovery is still to be determined, but the surgery was successful, and he is recovering well.

Sydney Swans EGM of Football, Charlie Gardiner said the injury is disappointing.

“Losing players to injury in the off-season is always upsetting,” Gardiner said.

“Callum is our captain and an important member of the squad. We are extremely disappointed this injury has occurred.

“Callum is equally disappointed, as you can imagine, but he is recovering well and will get to work on his rehabilitation immediately.”
