Saturday's VFL match at GMHBA Stadium is poised to be the match of the round as the top-of-the-table Cats face the Swans who sit just one win behind them.

The Swans come off a 52-point win over Collingwood in Sydney last week, while the Cats also had a big 66-point win over the Lions in Brisbane.

The Sydney side has two changes for the trip to Geelong with plenty of experience coming back into the side.

225-AFL gamer Harry Cunningham returns to the VFL alongside Billy Cootee with Tom Hanily and Caiden Cleary given an opportunity at senior level, named in Dean Cox's AFL side to also face Geelong.

It's a tight VFL competition in 2026 with only percentage separating teams 2nd-6th on the ladder, Geelong one win ahead of this pack with the Swans sitting third.

All tickets for the AFL match between Sydney and Geelong are valid for entry to the VFL game, with Gate 13 open from 11:35am and seating in the Brownlow Stand. Following the VFL match, patrons will need to move to their allocated seat for the AFL game.

All Smithy’s VFL and VFLW matches will be streamed live and free on AFL platforms via AFL.com.au and the AFL Live Official App.
