Bio 

John Rantall played 260 games for South Melbourne from 1963 to 1972 and 1976 to 1979, his run of matches in the red and white interrupted by a three-year stint at North Melbourne. Until 2007, he held the record for the number of games played for South Melbourne / the Sydney Swans. He captained the Club in 1969 when Bob Skilton was sidelined as a result of injury, and was again captain in 1972. A back pocket in the Swans Team of the Century, he is also an Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee.
