After more than a decade of proudly providing private health cover to players for the Sydney Swans, leading not-for-profit health insurer HCF has today entered into a formal partnership with the club.

In recognising HCF as a Premier Partner and the Official Private Health Insurance Partner of the Sydney Swans, it builds on the existing decade long relationship between the two organisations.

Sydney Swans Chief Executive Officer Andrew Ireland said he was excited to be launching the partnership with HCF.

“Given that the Sydney Swans and HCF have been together since 2000, the partnership is very much an extension of a strong existing relationship,” Mr Ireland said.

“As not-for-profit organisations, HCF and the Swans share common interests including a focus on delivering the best for our respective members. We are delighted to officially welcome HCF as an Official Partner of the Sydney Swans and look forward to working together for many years to come,” he said.

HCF Managing Director Shaun Larkin, said: “We’re delighted to be formalising a relationship that has existed for some time. For many years we have taken pride in our protection of the Swans’ most valuable asset, its players, and we are looking forward to bringing this attention to their fans also. We admire the club’s culture of giving their all to their fellow players each and every game, and believe it dovetails perfectly with HCF’s emphasis on member value.”

The partnership is a new initiative for HCF, and has been embraced due to the cultural fit between the two not-for-profit organisations, both of which have a single-minded focus on delivering more to their members.

As a key element of the agreement, HCF and the Sydney Swans will share health and wellbeing content between their respective sets of members. HCF members will be able to learn more about how the Swans players stay fit and healthy, while Swans fans can understand more about the HCF value proposition and the resources it has available to help keep members well.

In addition, HCF will look to expand its Indigenous Employment Program through linking with the Sydney Swans’ own Indigenous Leadership Program.
