Sydney Swans young gun Braeden Campbell will remain a Swan for another three years, with the club pleased to announce his re-signing until the end of the 2025 season.

The Sydney Swans QBE Sydney Swans Academy player was taken with selection five in the 2020 AFL Draft after the Swans matched a bid from Hawthorn.

19-year-old Campbell made an immediate impact on the field this season, earning a NAB Rising Star nomination in just his second game for the club.

The talented youngster overcame an injury mid-way through the year to continue improving his game, kicking his first goal in the Swans Round 22 win over North Melbourne.

The Swans also secured the signatures of Colin O’Riordan and Callum Sinclair for the 2022 season.

O’Riordan played 6 games in the AFL this season and was a standout player in the club’s VFL side, finishing runner up in the VFL Player of the Year.

Ruckman-forward Callum Sinclair played 4 games for the Swans, while also having an impact in the Swans VFL side.

Sydney Swans Executive General Manager - Football, Charlie Gardiner said he is pleased to secure the signatures of all three players.

“We have a strong young group of talent coming through at the Swans, and Braeden Campbell is a key part of that. At just 19 he has shown plenty of promise and we are excited to continue working with him to further develop his skillset at the Swans.

O’Riordan is a valued presence both on and off the field at the club. Despite battling injury this year his character never wavered as an exceptional person and valued teammate, and this was evident when he was awarded the 2021 Barry Round Best Clubman. We look forward to seeing what the Irish defender can do in 2022.

Callum Sinclair has been a key member of the Swans for a number of years and we are pleased to see him remain at the club for another season. Callum played several senior games this year, while also using his experience to lead our young VFL side during another challenging season.”
