The Sydney Swans have secured contract extensions for Chad and Corey Warner, with the brothers both committing to the club for a further two years until the end of 2025.
Chad has had a breakout year in 2022, with the explosive midfielder earning selection in the All-Australian squad after playing in 21 games in which he has averaged 23 disposals, five tackles and a goal per match.
The 21-year-old was taken with pick 39 in the 2019 AFL Draft, making his debut against Richmond in Round 6 the following season.
Since then Warner has gone from strength to strength, playing in 36 AFL games so far, with his speed, balance, and goal kicking endearing him to Swans fans.
Sydney Swans Executive General Manager – Football, Charlie Gardiner, said he is thrilled to see Chad commit to the Swans.
“It’s a great result for our young group, that Chad has committed until the end of 2025,” Gardiner said.
“From the first day he arrived at the club, Chad impressed us with his power, competitiveness and appetite for the contest. He is already an important part of our young midfield group and we’re looking forward to watching him continue to develop his game in the years ahead.”

Chad Warner said the decision to extend his contract was an easy one.
“I feel as a footy club we are going in the right direction,” he said.
“Since coming over from Perth, the club has made me feel so welcome. It’s a really exciting time to be here with the right mix of experienced players and young guys.
“I just want to keep improving and contributing to the team’s success.”
Chad’s signing coincides with the contract extension of his younger brother, Corey, who has also extended his stay at the Swans until at least the end of 2025.
Corey’s development throughout the year at VFL level has been promising, with the hard running 18-year-old playing a variety of roles. Corey joins Matthew Roberts as part of the club’s ‘young bloods’ to recommit to Sydney this season.
“It’s great to have both Chad and Corey continue their journey in Sydney for the next three years. They are a wonderful family and both terrific young men – we’re confident they will both be significant contributors to the club in the years ahead,” Gardiner said.
