Star midfielder Luke Parker and small forward Tom Papley made sure last weekend's round of AFL Coaches Association award voting wasn't an all-Hawthorn affair.

Parker (three votes) and Papley (two votes) impressed John Longmire and Alastair Clarkson enough to steal some votes in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award voting for their performances in the six-point loss to the Hawks.

Parker (24 disposals, eight tackles, nine clearances) and Papley (17 disposals, three goals) were the only Swans to feature.

Ben McEvoy, Liam Shiels, James Sicily, Daniel Howe and Jarryd Roughead claimed the rest of the votes.

Nine votes from his performance in Richmond's win over Gold Coast, Dustin Martin extended his lead over Geelong's Patrick Dangerfield on the overall leaderboard.

It looks like it will be a two-horse race with four rounds remaining in the home and away season.
