The Sydney Swans VFL side have overpowered Essendon on Sunday afternoon, with a dominant 82-point victory in their Round 19 clash at Windy Hill.

The red and white notched up their third win of the season, finishing with an impressive 19.12.126 to 6.8.44 victory.

Ruckman Tom Hickey continued to impress and push for selection in the senior side, picking up 25 disposals, 27 hitts, five tackles and a game-high 11 clearances.

Young midfielder Dylan Stephens was the Swans' leading ballwinner with 32 touches, seven clearances and a goal while Matt Roberts continued to impress since returning from injury a few weeks ago, finishing close behind with 30 disposals and five clearances.

Making their mark on the scoreboard, mid-season draftee Jack Buller kicked four goals, with Hugo Hall-Kahan (25 disposals) and Will Gould slotting three each, with the latter impressing in the forward line.

Corey Warner had a game-high 10 tackles to go with 27 disposals, Caleb Mitchell finished with 24 touches and one goal, Aaron Francis matched Mitchell with 24 and a goal, Lachlan Rankin had 21 touches, as did Jaiden Magor.

Draftee and small forward Jacob Konstanty was accurate with two straight goals from his 16 disposals and five tackles.

Other Swans in action included Lachlan McAndrew (14 disposals, 22 hitouts), Cameron Owen (five disposals) and William Edwards (seven) with the three all continuing to develop this season.

The Swans VFL Round 20 clash with GWS Giants has now moved to Blacktown International Sportspark on Saturday, August 5 from 1:35pm.
