Kevin Sheedy and Richard Colless have a lot in common. Both are passionate about the game, both are fixated on growing the game nationally, and both have already contributed enormously to the game. In fact, each of them has been awarded an Australian honour for their tremendous service to the game.

And both like channelling the inner school-boy and picking footy teams!

“Sheeds” selected the Plumbers Greatest Team in association with the Plumbing Trades Employees Union that was announced late last year. He also led the selection of the Riverina Team of the Century in 2015.

Meanwhile, Richard Colless led the initiative for the selection of NSW’s Greatest Ever Team in 2019 from a list of over 500 players that had played at the highest level. He is currently the chair of the selection committee that picks the State of Origin team each year from NSW players on AFL lists, currently 53.

They will come together in conversation when Richard hosts Kevin in the auditorium at the Richard Colless-Basil Sellers Centre (Swans HQ) this Saturday at 4.00 pm.

The conversation will cross a range of issues including the growth of the game, the entry of a Tasmanian team, the Swans-Giants rivalry,  the current state of play, the Krackouer complaint, and a preview of the Swans-Bombers match.

The event has been arranged by the NSW Australian Football History Society with the generous support of the Sydney Swans.

All footy fans are welcome.
