We’re thrilled to announce one of the exciting new voices in Australian hip hop, Kobie Dee, will perform at Marn Grook at the SCG, when we take on Carlton under lights on Friday, May 16.

Named “The Voice of a Generation” by GQ Australia, Kobie is a 27-year-old Gomeroi artist who hails from Maroubra on Bidjigal country.

With an innate gift for storytelling, Kobie is deeply engaged in his community through performance and community work, and his passion for his culture and people is inspiring new generations.

Since the release of his debut single Right Now in May 2018, he has earned ARIA Award nominations and, in 2022, was honoured with both the FBi SMAC Award for Best Live Act and the Triple J Done Good Award for Enriching First Nations Communities. Further cementing his impact, he has recently received two Gold Plaques for his standout tracks Jody and About A Girl.

After releasing his second EP Chapter 26 in July 2024, described as a journey through his life, from being a young Indigenous man in Australia to becoming a father and navigating fatherhood, Kobie recently collaborated with fellow Sydney music act Hellcat Speedracer on big beat rap anthem Jump!
