Promising young draftee Jesse Dattoli will play his first official game for the red and white this weekend, as one of four inclusions in the Swans VFL side.
Selected with pick number 22 in the 2024 draft, Dattoli has been rehabilitating from a stress fracture in his back since December.
Now recovered and ready to go, Swans fans will get their first glimpse of the utility as the club’s VFL side takes on Coberg in Melbourne on Saturday.
Dattoli, who recently signed contract extension, has been named in the forward line alongside fellow 2024 draftees Ned Bowman and Tom Hanily.
Defender Caleb Mitchell returns to the side after missing last week's match through injury, while VFL-listed players Angus Hanrahan and Harry Podmore-Taylor also rejoin the team.
Callum Mills, Taylor Adams and Hayden McLean come out of the side after being elevated to the AFL team, while VFL-listed Lachie Hunter is unavailable for the clash.
Coburg will enter the match off a 30-point win over Northern Bullants, while Sydney is searching for its second win of the season after suffering a 30-point loss to Carlton last round.
