The Sydney Swans head to the MCG for the first time in 2025, to take on a red-hot Narrm (Melbourne) outfit on Sunday afternoon in Round 11.

Narrm have won four of their last five matches, including a stunning come from behind 11-point victory last weekend over premiers Brisbane at the Gabba. The Swans have found some form of their own despite their injury list, winning two of their last three matches including a Friday night victory against the Blues in Marn Grook at the SCG.

14th placed Narrm welcome back Jake Level for the clash at the expense of Tom McDonald, while the 12th placed Swans have been forced to make three changes. Joel Amartey and Justin McInerney miss through suspension, while Aaron Francis is out with concussion. Sydney captain Callum Mills comes into the team for the first time since last years finals series, while Taylor Adams and Hayden McLean have been recalled.

Melbourne v Sydney Swans

Round 11

MCG, Melbourne • VIC

The last six games between these two sides have seen three wins a piece, with the Swans getting the better of the Demons in the latest encounter in Opening Round last season by 22-points.

It’s also a game to celebrate two milestones, with Narrm star Christian Petracca notching up game 200 and Swan Joel Hamling playing his 100th game over three clubs.

Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin has used Clayton Oliver as a tagger in recent weeks and hinted he may be given another job this Sunday on either Chad Warner or Isaac Heeney.

"We've loved what he's been able to do," Goodwin said of Oliver.

"He's really invested about what the team's about ... and he's growing his game off the back of that.

"Clearly we're going to have to have plans for Heeney and Warner. They're two guys who are having a significant impact on the game."
