The Sydney Swans will be boosted by the inclusion of captain Callum Mills and defender Harry Cunningham for Saturday’s clash with Richmond at the MCG.
Mills will return to the side to play his second game of the year, with the Swans making a total of five changes for the Round 13 clash.
Speaking to Sydney Swans Media, senior coach Dean Cox said Mills would bring valuable experience to the side.
"I think, unfortunately, we missed him last week, he's an integral part of this football team and what he stands for," Cox said.
"He'll be back leading from the front, you know, hopefully he can build on as the year progresses."
Cunningham is set to feature at AFL level for the first time this year, after returning from injury and playing modified minutes in the VFL last week.
Sam Wicks, Tom Hanily and Aaron Francis have been recalled to the side, while Joel Hamling and Caiden Cleary have been omitted.
Hanily signed a two-year contract extension earlier this week, Cox saying he had earned another opportunity at AFL level.
"It's great to have him extend, young players want to stay at the football club, which is really pleasing," Cox said.
"For him, it's his pressure and intensity when he's ahead of the ball, so he had six or seven shots on goal last week in our VFL and he's played some good footy against some quality AFL opposition at the start of the year as well so it's good to have him back."
Caleb Mitchell has also been omitted and named as an emergency alongside Jack Buller and Ollie Florent.
Peter Ladhams and Matt Roberts will miss the match through injury and illness, respectively.
Richmond comes into the match off a narrow three-point loss to GWS, and Cox said he was expecting a tough contest on Saturday afternoon.
