Tom Harley to depart Sydney Swans for AFL executive role

It was confirmed on Thursday that Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley will depart the club to become the AFL’s new Chief Operating Officer. His departure marks the end of a transformative chapter for the Swans, following more than a decade of service and leadership.

The Sydney Swans will undertake an executive search to appoint Harley’s successor, with a sub-committee of the club’s Board consisting of Andrew Pridham, Alexandra Goodfellow and Brian Tyson to oversee the process.

Swans clean sweep in Round 13 coaches votes

The Sydney Swans swept the coaches' votes in Round 13 after defeating Richmond by 44-points on Saturday afternoon.

Nick Blakey received a perfect 10 following his impressive performance, the defender's dangerous run and touch on show, recording 34 disposals and 886 metres gained.

Sydney is back at the SCG in Round 16, to take on the Western Bulldogs in a Friday night blockbuster.

"The excitement around the place is great" - Kennedy

Nine weeks out from the AFLW season, the Swans are in the midst of their fourth week of pre-season training.

Speaking to Sydney Swans Media, midfielder Tanya Kennedy said the team was working hard and she was improving each week.

"We're feeling great, we're excited, everyone's training really well and enjoying it," Kennedy said.

"For me personally, I'm growing as a player, every training session, every match, I feel like I'm just getting better and better.

"The excitement around the place is great, on Wednesdays we kind of do contested footy, so it's a lot of repeats after repeats and just digging deep, that gritty feeling that you get just whenever you just need to dig deep and contest."
