It's a busy week at the Sydney Swans as the school holidays near. With a home game at the SCG, AFLW pre-season camp and school holiday open training there's plenty for the kids this July.

We're back at the SCG this Sunday afternoon for a clash with Fremantle from 1:10pm. In exciting news for families, Kids Go FREE* with the purchase of an eligible Adult ticket so gather the crew for a day out at the footy.

Grundy: "That mental preparation has been a really solid part of my game this year"

Ahead of Round 17 star ruckman Brodie Grundy appeared in a press conference. He answered questions on his performance and game preparation amid an outstanding 2025 season. 

"That mental preparation has been a really solid part of my game this year," Grundy said.

"It's probably been a focus on my process. It may sound quite generalised but it's been an acknowledgment of what makes me the player I am and continuing to reinforce that and put an emphasis on that during the week and in games."

AFLW squad travels to Coffs Harbour this weekend

In exciting news for our regional fans, the Sydney Swans AFLW squad will travel to the Coffs Harbour region for their annual pre-season camp, engaging with the local community, training and completing team bonding activities.

What's on these school holidays

Get the kids away from the screens and out on the footy field these school holidays with events in Sydney and Melbourne. 

First is a School Holiday Open Day at Sydney Swans HQ and open training on Tuesday, July 8. Enjoy a kick to kick session on the indoor field of Sydney Swans HQ, get your face painted, take a photo with Cyggy, visit our new Sydney Swans Museum and much more.

For our Melbourne-based supporters we'll be back in Victoria for Round 18. Ahead of our clash with St Kilda at Marvel Stadium we're hosting a Captain's and Kid's Run, presented by Volkswagen on July 12.

Activities, games, food, fun and the chance to meet your favourite players is all on the agenda for the perfect red and white afternoon at Port Melbourne.

Attendees will be able to watch both the AFL and VFL team's have their respective Captain's Runs, followed by autograph sessions around the boundary before the kids take over Port Melbourne Oval.

Injury Update

In injury news this week it has been revealed that veteran defender Dane Rampe will be sidelined for 1-2 weeks after sustaining a low grade calf strain in Round 16 against the Western Bulldogs. 

Meanwhile, Joel Amartey will be a test play after pulling up with a tight hamstring in Round 15.
