It was a bottom of the table clash in Sydney's west with both teams on the hunt for a much needed four points. While the Swans recorded an upset win over Southport just two weeks ago, the Bullants had not tasted victory in over a year.

It was a fairly even first term as both sides exchanged goals but the Swans kicked into gear in the second quarter, kicking five goals to two to take a handy lead into half time.

Ben Paton, Corey Warner, Nick Shipley and Ollie Florent were busy across the park for the Swans in the first half while Will Green and Jesse Dattoli were finding the scoreboard with four goals between them.

But that was as good as it got for the Swans with the Bullants stunning the home side with a rampant five-goal-to-none third quarter to take the lead into the final break.

It was all on the line in the final quarter and at every contest the Swans were met with plenty of pressure and fight from the determined Bullants.

Sydney had their chances in front of goal with seven behinds in the final term but could not find the middle of the sticks. Meanwhile the Bullants showed their composure in the final minutes to clinch the victory.

Best for the Swans was Ben Paton (33 disposals and one goal), Corey Warner (29 disposals and one goal), Pete Ladhams (26 disposals).

Sydney will next face Sandringham on Sunday July 13 at Trevor Barker Beach Oval in Sandringham in Round 16.
