The Sydney Swans and Farage are bringing fashion and football together with the launch of the official off-field uniform for Sydney’s AFLW team.
After suiting up the men’s team for over 15 years, the Australian-owned label has now extended its support to the women’s side.
Farage has designed the custom suits for the players to wear at formal events, with the team debuting their new outfits at the AFLW Guernsey presentation last week.
The new look elevates the presence of the players while continuing Farage’s legacy of dressing one of Australia’s most iconic sporting teams.
Sydney Swans CEO Tom Harley said the club is thrilled to have the longstanding partnership extended to the AFLW side.
“Joe and the Farage team are part of the fabric of our club, they’ve always ensured our players look great off the field, so it was only natural to extend this to our women’s team,” Harley said.
“We strive for equity across the board, and this partnership is a reflection of that. Our AFLW players are elite athletes and role models, now they have a look that reflects their strength and professionalism.”
Joe Farage, who founded the fashion label in 1998 alongside his wife Katy, said he is proud to support the women’s team.
“I could not be prouder to extend our long-standing partnership with the Sydney Swans to now include the AFLW team,” Farage said.
“Collaborating with the team on this project has been incredibly meaningful. We set out to create a uniform that not only performs at the highest level but also feels sophisticated and empowering.
“Seeing the girls come together for the first time in their new suits was a powerful moment - one I’ll never forget. I'm so proud to play a part in celebrating and supporting this next chapter for the club and for women in the sport."
