The Sydney Swans AFLW team has named an unchanged line-up for their clash with Geelong at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday afternoon, opting to take in the same team that defeated Gold Coast by 82-points last week.

Star forward Chloe Molloy, who last week booted seven goals has been named at half forward while gun midfielder Laura Gardiner, who amassed 38 disposals and 10 tackles has been named to start in the centre.

Senior coach Scott Gowans said the "selection headaches" was a good problem to have.

"We decided to keep the team the same, just reward for the players that played," Gowans said.

"Good sides have selection headaches and we definitely do, there's a number of players knocking on the door to come in, but we just felt the connection across all lines was really sound.

"We didn't get any injuries out of the game, we played some pretty good footy, so we think we'll just keep it the same this week."

Sydney Swans v GWS GIANTS

Round 6

Henson Park, Sydney • NSW

Bec Privitelli, Lexi Hamilton and Sarah Grunden have been named as the emergencies.

All-Australian defender Brenna Tarrant will line up in her 50th AFLW match on Saturday.

Gowans described Tarrant as the "backbone" of their defence.

"She just plays the game with great passion and prepares well," Gowans said.

"She's got herself really strong this year, which is pleasing. The thing with her is you just know that if she gets in a one-on-one, she's going to body the player out and take the intercept.

If she doesn't take it, she brings it to ground, really pleasingly, she's been with us from the start, she's a mainstay of our backline and we're looking forward to what she brings in the next 50."

The side will wear the club’s Marn Grook guernsey this week as part of the AFLW’s annual Indigenous Round - recognising and celebrating indigenous players, culture and their contribution to the game.

The Sydney Swans Marn Grook guernsey debuted earlier this year, when the Sydney Swans AFL side hosted Carlton in Marn Grook at the SCG. For the first time in the club’s history, our women’s team will wear the same Indigenous Round guernsey as the AFL side.

Sydney takes on Geelong at 3.05pm on Saturday, at GMHBA Stadium.
