Sydney Swans midfielder Laura Gardiner has been recognised for a strong Round 4 performance against Walyup, earning nine votes from the coaches. The ball magnet was at her best with 35 disposals and five clearances, to go with a game-high nine tackles. 

Co-captain Lucy McEvoy polled three votes, following her strong showing on Sunday, which included a clutch overhead mark on the 3-quarter-time siren to earn a Medibank Mark of the Year nomination. The versatile defender has enjoyed a strong start to the season, finishing Round 4 with 15 disposals and three tackles. 

Midfielder Montana Ham was awarded three votes after she notched 20 disposals and a goal, while defender Jas Grierson polled two votes for her role in defence.
