Last week, the Sydney Swans issued a call out to all footy fans to help drive AFLW attendance to an average of 6,000, which is the benchmark the AFL has set to expand the season.
Fans and supporters turned up in their thousands to watch a hot contest between the Giants and the Swans, with 7,171 through the gates, a new record for AFLW at Henson Park.
THANKYOU members and fans, we asked you to turn up and you DID by the thousands… but there is plenty more work to do.
Let’s make this a season to remember. The Sydney Swans are back at Henson Park on October 12.
Remember, bigger crowds mean more footy, and who doesn't want that?
