Round 10 Team Selection, presented by QBE Insurance
Sydney Swans AFLW Senior Coach Scott Gowans goes through the team changes ahead of the side's Round 10 clash with Melbourne in this week's Team Selection, presented by QBE Insurance.
Senior coach Scott Gowans said he was excited for the tall to make the most of her opportunity.
"She's been itching to get back, so I'm so excited for her. We've tried a couple of times and she's been in good form at training and in scrimmages as well," Gowans said.
"The main thing for me is just her energy around the group, I mean, it's hard not to play for nine weeks and she's just had this energy about her.
"So really proud of the way she's held herself, holding the team values and looking forward to her coming in and killing it down forward."
After a strong performance and win over Carlton in Round 9, Sydney will be looking to take positive momentum into Saturday's match.
"It's to get the footy looking like it did on the weekend with the way we play, and obviously Melbourne will try and take that away from us but yeah sometimes you just got to double down on the way that you play footy and if the opposition are good enough to take that away from you so be it," Gowans said.
"So we're going in with that mindset of knowing that Melbourne are an amazing side and have been for a long time, well coached, well drilled but yeah we just know that moments in the game they'll get momentum but when we do hopefully we can capitalise on those."
"We don’t celebrate just one win, we want to bank wins" - Gowans
