Six players have been recognised for their performance this season, with nominations across four categories at the 2025 AFL Players’ AFLW MVP Awards presented by KPMG.
Midfielders Laura Gardiner, Montana Ham and Tanya Kennedy have been nominated for the AFL Players’ Most Valuable Player Award, presented by KPMG. Kennedy has also been nominated for the AFL Players’ Most Courageous Player Award, presented by Tackle Your Feelings – the first time the Irish export has been recognised.
Meanwhile, young gun Zippy Fish has been nominated for the AFL Players’ Best First Year Player Award, presented by P3 Recovery. The 2024 draftee has enjoyed huge personal success on the big stage notching 26 disposals on debut against Richmond. Her season best was 34 disposals against North Melbourne. Earlier this month Fish was named in her maiden 22Under22 Team, alongside Ham.
Rounding out the nominations are co-captains Chloe Molloy and Lucy McEvoy for the AFL Players’ Best Captain Award, presented by Chartered Accountants ANZ. The pair, who joined the club ahead of the 2023 season, were also nominated for the award in 2024.
The AFL Players’ AFLW MVP Awards are voted on by the AFLW playing group with winners announced on Tuesday, November 25.
