The Sydney Swans and International Sport College Australia (ISCA) have joined forces to launch the Diploma of Sports Management (High Performance), to be delivered at the Sellers and Colless Centre, Sydney Swans HQ.

ISCA will deliver the fully accredited curriculum at Sydney’s world-class home in Moore Park, with students set to benefit from the club’s high-performance facilities. The Swans will offer work-integrated learning each year for several ISCA students across a variety of sport-related disciplines.

The Diploma is a higher education qualification fully accredited by TEQSA. Students will undertake three subjects per term in business, sports management and high performance, along with their work-integrated learning subject.

The course will form part of the Sydney Swans Institute, the education and leadership arm of the Sydney Swans.

Sydney Swans Chief Operating Officer Drew Arthurson said the course was a fantastic opportunity for students wanting to pursue a career in sport.

"At the Sydney Swans Institute, we’re committed to unlocking people’s best - whether that’s in sport, business or education. This Diploma gives students a unique opportunity to learn in a high-performance environment and gain insights that will set them apart in the sports industry,” Arthurson said.

“This course is specifically tailored for students who want to break into the sporting world and represents an exciting expansion of the Sydney Swans Institute, building on the work we are doing with businesses across Australia.”

Ian Evans, General Manager of ISCA, said he’s thrilled to collaborate with a world-class sporting organisation to allow students to balance their sporting, academic and career goals concurrently.

“This collaboration enables our students to access learning opportunities within a high-performance setting, and benefit from an organisation renowned for its culture of support, education and professional development,” Evans said.

“The innovative component of our Diploma is the practical hours students undertake, where they will learn strength and conditioning, coaching principles, nutrition, recovery and sports psychology in an applied setting.

“We can’t wait to have our first intake of students start in February 2026 and deliver a truly unrivalled sports and education offering.”
