Hear from Callum Mills as he traveled to Melbourne this week to represent the Sydney Swans at AFL Captain's Day.

On the pre-season so far

"I've had a good pre-season, so touch wood it's behind me and can play some good footy this year."

On Charlie Curnow

"Yeah, it's awesome. It provides a really big presence for us up forward, it's been awesome fitting off-field and yeah, we're really excited, I think the SCG will be pumping when Charlie's playing.

"He'll be a focal point but he'll also just play a role for us, we don't need him to kick a hundred goals this year, we just need him to do what he does and bring his talents to the team and fit into the system, so I think he'll do a really good job at it.

"He's electric when he plays, he does some special stuff and we've had a big history of key forwards over the years, so hopefully he'll be another one of them.

On the new rule changes

"It hasn't been too bad, once you get your head around it, I don't think it affected the games too much in practice matches, so yeah, we haven't really dug too deep into it.

"I think that's the plan for the AFL, they want the ball in play more often and this is their plan for it, so we'll see if it works.

On the wildcard round

"I'm going to hold my judgement until I see it and see how it happens, you know, it could add another exciting round, so we'll see how it goes."

On Cox in his second pre-season as senior coach

"Really good, yeah, we've really enjoyed the pre-season. Coxy's a lot more comfortable in the role, it was a bit of a quick turnover, but now it's really comfortable and we've got a few more coaches around, so yeah, we're really excited."
