Grundy set for Game 250

Sydney ruckman Brodie Grundy will this week run out for his 250th AFL game when the Swans face Melbourne in Round 8.

Grundy joined the Swans in 2024 after 177 games for Collingwood and 17 for Melbourne.  A two-time Collingwood Best and Fairest, two-time All Australian and Runner Up in the 2025 Sydney Swans Club champion, Grundy has made a big mark in his 14 seasons in the AFL and 55 games at the Swans.

McCartin to miss, Heeney a test

Tom McCartin will miss the next 2-3 weeks with a knee ligament sprain and will undergo short period of rehab. 

Meanwhile Isaac Heeney is set to return this weekend after calf soreness following Round 6 against the Giants. He will be a test to face Melbourne this week.

VFL going for 4-in-a-row

Our VFL side are looking for another win this Sunday as they face the Casey Demons at Tramway Oval from 12.15pm.

The side defeated Footscray last Friday by 59 points with Pete Ladhams recording a career-high 40 disposals while Hayden McLean and Jevan Phillipou kicked 5 goals each.

The team sit fourth on the ladder with only percentage splitting the top eight teams.

Open Training on Saturday at the SCG

Ahead of Sunday afternoon footy at the SCG, the team are inviting members and fans to Captain’s Run on Saturday morning. The team will have a run on the SCG from 10am with signings from 10.30am-10.45am.
