Senior coach Dean Cox has made two changes ahead of our Sunday afternoon clash at the SCG.
Lewis Melican has been named in the side, for his first senior game since Round 4.
He replaces Tom McCartin in the backline after it was announced he would be sidelined for several weeks with a knee injury.
Speaking to Sydney Swans Media, Cox said Melican has shown enough in the VFL to earn a recall.
"First of all, he had to get his body right, make sure that was clear and then play some really consistent football which is system-based, defend hard and then provide something he can attack as well," Cox said.
"And he's done that the past couple of weeks so excited to have him back."
Will Edwards who made his AFL debut against the Western Bulldogs last Thursday has also been named down back.
Meanwhile, Isaac Heeney has been confirmed to return against the Dees after being a late out due to a tight calf last week.
Cox said Heeney would provide the team a boost for the clash against the fourth placed Demons.
"It's great having him back, obviously, he was close last week, slight calf, couldn't quite get it up, get to the start line but, he's been in unbelievable form all year and really excited to have him back." Cox said.
Harry Cunningham has been omitted, while Peter Ladhams and Hayden McLean move from the extended bench to the emergency list.
