The players enjoyed a nice 4-day break but returned to the club on Thursday with FIFA World Cup fever taking over and former Socceroos goalkeeper Andrew Redymayne stopping by the club.

THURSDAY NIGHT IN BRISBANE

The Swans’ next fixture will see the red and white travel up to the Gabba next Thursday night to face the Brisbane Lions for the second time this season.

Also on a bye this weekend, the reigning premiers have won their last two fixtures, both on the road against Richmond and the Gold Coast.

The Swans have already defeated the Lions once already this season, back in Round 1 by 44 points with Joel Amartey bagging five majors in the contest.

INJURY UPDATE

Sydney Swans midfielder Errol Gulden is among four Swans who are in contention to face Brisbane after the bye week.

Gulden has been absent after needing a shoulder reconstruction after the Swans' Round 1 contest against the Lions could be eyeing a return should he complete all training requirements.

Dane Rampe, Lewis Melican and Will Green will also be tested in the full team training ahead of the Round 16 clash.

SWANS REPRESENT ALLIES

A record number of QBE Sydney Swans Academy players were selected in the 2026 Allies squads. Facing the best U18 players from VIC, SA and WA, 19 players and five staff are involved in the month-long competition.

In their first-round fixtures, the U18 Allies girls defeated Victoria Country team 56 - 38, whilst the U18 Allies boys suffered a 13-point loss to the Victoria Country team, with a handful of Swans taking part in both matches.

Both the boys' and girls' teams take on South Australia this Sunday in Adelaide.
