The Sydney Swans have recorded an resounding 133-point victory over the Sandringham Zebras, recording back-to-back wins and solidifying their top eight spot in the process.

It was a ruthless four-quarter display that saw the Bloods record a 26.16.(172) to 5.9.(39) win, inspired by some incredible individual performances.

Matt Roberts (36 disposals, 11 marks, six tackles, one goal), Billy Cootee (36 disposals, two goals, seven clearances, 12 inside 50s), Tom Hanily (34 disposals, two goals), and Corey Warner (29 disposals, three goals) all paved the way for a resounding win.

Meanwhile, Hayden McLean left no stone unturned with a starring display of his own, recording six goals, six marks, and 12 disposals alongside Jevan Phillipou who kicked five majors of his own.

Dane Rampe featured in the VFL for the first time this season, coming through the game unscathed as he returned to play following a calf strain.

Meanwhile, Lewis Melican also returned from a hamstring strain successfully, while Will Green played his first game of 2026 and impressed with some classy touches throughout.

It was a stunning return to form for the Bloods who had 13 AFL-listed players featuring in the red and white, although the strength of the club's Development Players, such as Nick Shipley, Mitch Mellis and Joe Harrison, have proven instrumental in the recent resurgence.

Mellis, who has arguably been one of the Swans most consistent in the VFL this season, finished the game with seven tackles and proving a handful with the ball-in hand, recording

The first quarter saw the Swans kick rapid-fire goals to take a commanding early lead, with Hanily and Cootee finding plenty of the footy while Jevan Phillipou showed his classy forward craft.

Two of three McLean's first-half majors were the result of holding the ball tackles, with the dynamic foward's relentless tackle pressure setting the tone from the first bounce.

Sandringham fought valiantly in the third quarter, adding four goals in the term, although the seven majors of their own set an unassailable lead.

One of the most impressive takeaways for the Swans was their desperate defensive efforts, with the Zebras remaining goaless in the last quarter en route to an emphatic 133-point victory.

The Swans will now look to record their third consecutive victory when they face the Gold Coast Suns next Saturday afternoon on the Gold Coast.
