Sydney Swans senior coach Dean Cox has made four changes to his side to take on Adelaide at the SCG tomorrow night, with fan-favourite Braeden Campbell to make his first AFL appearance of the year.

Campbell joins Logan McDonald, Riley Bice and Malcolm Rosas Jnr, who replace Joel Hamling, Tom Hanily, Harry Kyle and Caiden Cleary (all omitted).

Speedster Campbell, suffered a shin stress fracture in the pre-season and has done a power of work in rehab to get back to playing at the highest level.

Sydney Swans v Adelaide Crows

Round 19

SCG, Sydney • NSW

"Braeden will play. It's a great story for the footy club," Senior Coach Dean Cox said.

"He played 90 minutes last week, looked really sharp. He's trained with the main squad for a long time.

"We're really pleased with the way he played and part of me wanted to look at it straight away at AFL but ... he's ready now.

"I told him yesterday that he'll play. I told him before training ... he's been out of footy for a long time and he's worked extremely hard to get here.

"He's as strong as he's ever been, so hopefully he can show that."

The Swans return to the SCG for Friday night footy against the Crows, hoping to make amends from their 38-point loss to Fremantle in Perth.

McDonald returns for the Adelaide clash after a fortnight out with a quadricep strain suffered in training in the week after the match against Brisbane.

Bice returns to the senior side after a 31-disposal performance in the VFL draw with Williamstown last weekend, while Rosas Jnr kicked one goal among 14 disposals.

The last time the Crows ventured to the SCG was in Round 12 last season when the travelling side ran over the Swans by 90-points.

"We were outplayed that night, and it was a really disappointing night for the footy club when you were honouring the 20-year premiership," Cox said.

"This is a different team. We'll look at what Adelaide have done in the last month or six weeks of footy and prepare them for that."
