QBE Sydney Swans Academy graduates Maddie Quinn and Imogen Brown will make their AFLW debuts against the Adelaide Crows at Unley Oval on Sunday.

19-year-old Quinn was taken with pick 18 in the 2025 AFLW Draft, following a dominate season with the Swans in the Coates Talent League.

Brown, 21, joined Richmond as a replacement player in 2024 before returning to the Harbour City via a trade ahead of last season.

Senior coach Colin O’Riordan told the pair the good news on Thursday.

“What an opportunity a Round 1 debut, what you've (Quinn) done in six months, how you've bought into the group has been amazing,” O’Riordan said.

“The girls love you, as coaches we love having you and we can’t wait to see what you do now, it’s the start of an incredible journey.”

O’Riordan went onto to congratulate Brown on her resilience.

“You've had a great journey, coming from the Academy, obviously you went to Richmond for the year,” O’Riordan said.

“But the way you've conducted yourself this pre-season, no one deserves it more, so you should be proud of yourself.”

The Swans will also unveil recruit Taylor Smith, with the tall forward set to play her first game in red and white after joining the club from Brisbane in the off-season.
