Sydney Swans AFLW senior coach Colin O'Riordan has made two changes as his side continues to prepare for their AFLW Indigenous Round clash against Euro-Yroke (St Kilda) in Coffs Harbour on Saturday.

Emma Juneja will make her AFLW debut this weekend as the 2-0 Swans look to continue their undefeated start to the season, after recording a 24-point win over Essendon in front of a record-breaking 16,672 fans at the SCG last weekend. 

Caitlin Reid has also been called up to the side and will make her first appearance of the season after featuring seven times in her debut season.

Juneja and Reid come in to replace the injured Taylor Smith and Holly Cooper.

“We've lost a key in Tay Smith, so Reidy's going to fill that void this week,” O'Riordan said to Swans media. 

"I think Reidy's main attribute is just her ability to compete, both in the air and on the ground. So hopefully we see a really competitive performance from Reidy.”

Confirmed by AFLW senior coach Colin O'Riordan, Smith has been ruled out for the next 3-4 weeks after suffering a fractured wrist midway through the third quarter last Sunday. Whilst Cooper continues to recover from an elbow injury also sustained in round two.  

Juneja will be the fourth QBE Sydney Swans Academy graduate to debut for the red and white this season, following the successful debuts of Maddie Quinn, Imogen Brown and Molly Thomas. 

Signed on as a replacement player for the 2026 AFLW season, the midfielder was a former AFL National Academy representative. Juneja featured in eight VFLW games for the Box Hill Hawks last season after spending three years representing the QBE Sydney Swans Academy.

“Emma's a great story,” O'Riordan said.

“The way she conducts herself on field since she's come here and off field since she's come here has been the ultimate professional, and we're really excited to have her and can't wait to see her run out on Saturday.”

Travelling up to the Coffs Coast, O'Riordan is excited to continue club traditions and connect with fans across the state. 

“We were up there for our community camp this year already. [It is really] exciting and [we] love going back there,” O'Riordan said.

“Our club has a proud history of going to Coffs Harbour, so can't wait to see the red and white in Coffs Harbour. Hopefully everyone comes out and supports us.

“We had unbelievable support last week, and it'd be great to get significant support again in Coffs, which I'm sure we will, but can't wait.”

The Round 3 clash also aligns with the AFLW Indigenous Round, and with the AFLW side donning the Marn Grook Guernsey this Saturday, it allows everyone in the club to recognise and celebrate the impact First Nations People have on the club and sporting community. 

“It's really special. Indigenous Round is something that we take a lot of pride in [at] this club,” O'Riordan said.

“The group just got spoken to by an ex-champion of our club, Adam Goodes, and he spoke so highly of what it means to be Indigenous and the impact it had on him. 

“It means something special for a lot of our players, and hopefully we can show up in the right way and represent Indigenous people in the right way.”
