The Sydney Swans AFLW team has unveiled another debutant, with QBE Sydney Swans Academy graduate Emma Juneja to make her AFLW debut on Saturday.
The 20-year-old was signed as an injury replacement player at the start of July.
Standing at 169cm, Juneja is a hard-running utility and recipient of the QBE Sydney Swans Academy’s Basil Sellers Scholarship.
A former AFL National Academy representative, Juneja featured in eight VFLW games for the Box Hill Hawks last season after spending three years representing the QBE Sydney Swans Academy in the Coates Talent League.Â
Senior coach Colin O'Riordan said the opportunity was well deserved.
Emma's a great story, she came from obviously the Sydney Swans Academy," Juneja said.
"Went down last year to play some VFL footy after not getting picked up in her draft year, but the way she conducts
herself on field and off field has been the ultimate professional.
"We're really excited to have her and can't wait to see her run out."
