Morphett signs on to 2030
One of the league’s best rucks, Morphett will remain in the red and white until at least the end of 2030.
The 22-year-old has had a scintillating start to the year, averaging 14 disposals and 20 hit-outs in the first half of the season.
“I’m super excited to sign on with the Swans,” Morphett said.
“I’ve grown so much since arriving at the club and I’m so grateful for the support I’ve received along the way.
“I have full belief in what we are building here and the bright future ahead for our group, so choosing to stay was a an easy decision."
Four Swans poll votes from the coaches
Chloe Molloy continued her strong form with three goals on the weekend to earn nine votes from the coaches.
Meanwhile, Zippy Fish finished with a team-high 26 touches and 7 tackles to earn six votes. Montana Ham earned five votes following a busy 16 disposals and six tackles.
Meanwhile, Lucy McEvoy was safe in the back line with 17 disposals, four intercepts and three tackles to earn one vote.
What's On at Henson Park - Round 7
This Sunday, September 17 we return to Henson Park to host the Brisbane Lions in a huge Sunday afternoon of footy.
There is plenty of activity planned for the day including: QBE Fan Zone, Volkswagen’s Track Day Challenge & Clap Banners, Home of the Fans & Fan Bus presented by Origin Energy, Sydney Children’s Hospitals Foundation Face Painting, Toohey’s Boundary Bar, and Adora Fertility Handball Challenge.
Injury Update: Round 7
Amelia Martin (hamstring) has participated in a full week of training last week. She is a test to return this week.
Sofia Hurley (ankle) has had surgery last week. She has a review with the specialist this week to confirm return to play timelines.
Brenna Tarrant (knee) will have surgery later in the week, while Alice Mitchell and Alex Neyland (knee) continue their rehabilitation.
