SWANS TO HOST PRIDE ROUND
This Sunday, the Sydney Swans women’s team will run out in their Pride guernsey against Carlton at Henson Park.
It marks the club’s fourth home AFLW Pride Game, celebrating diversity, inclusion and belonging across the game and recognising the contributions of LGBTQI+ communities to AFLW.
Hosting our first Pride game in 2023 against Collingwood after playing Essendon away from home in the 2022 Pride Round. The fixture has become something much more than the four quarters on the field, a celebration of diversity aimed at ensuring everyone feels welcome and included at the football.
Our Pride Game is in line with the AFLW Pride Round, celebrated across Rounds 9 and 10 of the 2026 NAB AFLW Season. It is the seventh occasion the competition has held a dedicated Pride Round.
LEXI HAMILTON SET TO CELEBRATE 50TH GAME
Lexi Hamilton will notch up game number 50 of her AFLW career this coming weekend when the Sydney Swans return home to face Carlton at Henson Park this Sunday afternoon.
Lexi’s milestone game continues the celebration in the Hamilton family after her younger sister Cynthia played her 50th game last weekend against North Melbourne.
“I think the possibility of even playing 50 games was probably not something that was on my horizon when I first started playing AFLW,” Hamilton said.
“My parents and my siblings and all my family have probably seen the backside of that and what it's kind of taken to get here. So, to be in the conversation of 50 games is something special.”

INJURY UPDATE
Ally Morphett will miss the remainder of the 2026 season after the Sydney ruckman injured her knee during the Swans game against North Melbourne on the weekend.
The subsequent imaging confirmed an injury to her ACL. She will have a specialist review this week to determine her management plan.
Morphett joins a growing list of Swans players, including Brenna Tarrant, Alice Mitchell and Alex Neyland, who are currently continuing their season-long rehabilitation after also suffering ACL injuries.
COLIN O’RIORDAN KEY QUOTES
Sydney AFLW senior coach Colin O’Riordan spoke to the media on Wednesday, and provided on update on the team's plans to cover the loss of Ally Morphett to a season-ending knee injury.
"We have a couple of options we can give. Obviously, we saw Tay Smith play a lot more ruck at the weekend and she was really good. Maddie Quinn played a lot more ruck and again, she was really good.
We have a couple of leavers there we can pull. We have a couple of people who didn't play seniors at the weekend that we can look at. It's just on us as coaches to come together and see what that looks like for this week and going forward."
