The Sydney Swans have upgraded rookie Lewis Melican to the senior list ahead of Thursday night’s match against West Coast at Domain Stadium.
Recruited from Birregurra, Melican is a versatile defender who showed impressive form throughout the JLT Community Series in the pre-season.
Now in his third season at the Swans, Melican was selected with pick 52 in 2015 rookie draft.
He replaces Alex Johnson on the senior list.
Robbie Fox, who has played two senior games, remains on the primary list in place of Gary Rohan while Tom Papley returns to the primary list in place of Shaun Edwards.
