The Sydney Swans will be looking to build on their strong win over Gold Coast in the NEAFL last weekend when they take on Eastlake’s in Canberra on Saturday.

It is hoped a four game winning streak can be extended to five with a strong four quarter effort against the Demons this weekend ahead of the bye.

Once again a number of QBE Academy Swans will fill the void left in the NEAFL side through the loss of AFL listed players.

Co-coach Marty Mattner expects a tough challenge against the Demons.

“We haven’t seen too much of them and we haven’t played them yet this year,” Mattner said.

“We know they are going to give a tough, hard contest and they were quiet impressive against Sydney Uni.”

“Based on that game we expect them to give a tough contest down in Canberra on Saturday.”

Rising Star nominee Stephen Camp comes back into Eastlake’s side alongside Sam Askew and Jarrod Thompson,

Joe Hancock, Don Roberts and Matthew Channon have been omitted while Alex Wilson is injured.

The Swans, who have the bye next week, have named 15 AFL-listed players for the 12pm clash, with James Rose the major out.
