Steve Johnson achieved nearly everything as a player and the former Cat and Giant is now putting his expertise to the test as an assistant coach at the Sydney Swans.

Recruited via pick 21 at the 2001 AFL Draft, Johnson managed 253 games in the blue and white hoops at Kardinia Park and collected a long list of honours in the process.

Johnson won three premierships (2007, 2009, 2011), a Norm Smith Medal (2007) and three All Australian blazers (2007, 2008, 2010) over his 13 seasons with Geelong, while he topped the Cats' goal-kicking in two seasons (2008, 2010).

After his time at Geelong, Johnson made the move to GWS where his experience was highly valued across two seasons, before jumping on board its cross-city rival as an assistant to John Longmire.
