Dane Rampe was judged the best Swans player in Sunday's loss to Essendon at the SCG receiving the most votes of any Swan in the AFL Coaches Association Player of the Year awards.

Rampe was given four votes from the coaches for his remarkable defensive performance against Essendon in which he had 20 disposals and eight marks.

Oliver Florent and Jake Lloyd were judged as the next best Swans with two votes each.

Florent had 27 disposals and seven clearances in the loss while Lloyd finished the contest with 29 disposals.

Zach Merrett (10 votes), Adam Saad (7), Aaron Francis (2), Andrew McGrath (1) and Kyle Langford (1) were the other vote getters.
