Sydney Swans star Isaac Heeney has been rated as best on ground by the coaches for his performance against North Melbourne on Saturday afternoon.

Heeney played an inspiring role in the Swans win over North Melbourne as he collected 18 disposals and pulled down eight marks along with a goal and seven score involvements.

The 24-year-old received nine votes alongside Jy Simpkin (North Melbourne) from the coaches to move into fifth position on the overall leaderboard with 19 votes from the first three rounds.

George Hewett and Tom Papley each received four votes from the coaches for their instrumental role in Saturday's win.

Papley kicked two goals from his 13 disposals to go along with immense defensive pressure and some great goal assists in the victory.

Hewett shut down North Melbourne's most influential midfielder Shaun Higgins, restricting him to just 11 disposals.

Luke Parker (3 votes) and Jake Lloyd (1 vote) rounded out the votes.
