Leading Goalkicker 1975, 1977

Following the commencement of his career at Richmond, Graham Teasdale joined South Melbourne in 1975. In his seven seasons with the Club, playing initially at full-forward, and later in the ruck, he played 125 games and kicked 138 goals. He topped the Club’s goalkicking in his first year, and did so again in 1977 – the year in which he was also honoured with the Swans Club Champion award and the Brownlow Medal, which he won by a margin of 14 votes over runner-up Kevin Bartlett. Many good judges believe Graham’s 1977 season to be one of the greatest seasons of AFL football ever played.
