The Sydney Swans could regain a number of players from injury for Saturday’s match against the Gold Coast at the SCG.

Sam Reid (calf), Callum Sinclair (knee) and Tom McCartin (concussion) are all a chance to return and could boost Sydney’s tall stocks.

Executive GM of Football Charlie Gardiner said the key question on Reid is how much football he has missed.

“Sam played some competitive minutes in our scrimmage session last Saturday,” Gardiner said.

“He is getting really close, he will train strongly again this week and is one who is in the mix for selection.

“We will just have to make a call on him given how much football he has missed this season, so we will have to factor that into our decision making.”

Callum Sinclair is another in the mix to play, with the ruckman eyeing a return after missing the matches against West Coast and Richmond.

“Callum is going well after hyperextending his knee at training a few weeks ago,” Gardiner said.

“He will train this week and possibly be available, but we will just have to wait and see how he goes at training and how he pulls up.

“He could be one that is available for selection, we will just have to wait and see.”

Meanwhile, Tom McCartin has made progress in recent days as he recovers from concussion.

He trained with the side on Tuesday and could be a chance to play if he pulls up well following Thursday’s main session.
