Xander Thinks Blue

Xander Halverson was treated to a VIP experience at Saturday’s game against Hawthorn after winning the TeamSWANS Volkswagen Environmental Program ‘Think Blue’ competition.

As part of the prize, Xander and his family were chauffeured to the game in a Volkswagen Multivan and watched the game from a corporate box.

The six-year-old was also treated to a half-time visit from Swans player Matt Spangher, and was granted access to the Swans change room after the game.

The Swans fan said he was very excited to see some of his favourite players after the game, including his favourite Swan, Ryan O’Keefe.

“I’m probably going to be a football player when I’m older.  I think I’ll play for the Swans and I’ll be number 5 too,” Xander said.

To win the competition, Xander wrote into the Volkswagen ‘Think Blue’ competition and explained what actions he takes at home to help the environment.

His winning entry explained how he helped his parents to recycle by putting bottles in the right bins and how he utilises the family compost bin in the backyard.
