It was the Sydney Swans’ night of nights on Friday as the club and its supporters gathered for the annual Club Champion Dinner.

Swans midfielder Josh Kennedy was awarded the night’s highest honour, the Bob Skilton Medal, ahead of defender Ted Richards and fellow midfielder Ryan O’Keefe.

While the night was a special event for the Sydney Swans playing group, one very lucky supporter won the chance to interview his favourite player as part of the Volkswagen Entertainment Reporter competition.

Swans supporter Antony Milne was selected to take control of the SwansTV microphone at Friday night’s prestigious event, and had the chance to go one-on-one with Swans star Jude Bolton.

Milne told SwansTV that he had always admired Bolton’s work ethic and positivity both on and off the field.

“I first struck an interest in AFL when I moved here from New York back in 2002 and Jude obviously at that stage was still a very integral player, even if he was a little bit younger than he is today,” he said.

“He’s stuck through it through thick and thin and now he’s a double premiership champion, plus he’s now a father and he’s also a very proud husband.”

Milne quizzed Bolton about his time at the Swans as well as the ‘Bloods culture’, his recent injury and milestone game, and how his life as a footballer has influenced his personal life off field.

Milne arrived at the Sydney Swans Club Champion Dinner at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre courtesy of Volkswagen, and was also chauffeured home at the conclusion of the event.

Milne was the final Volkswagen Entertainment Reporter for 2012, with Swans fans also taking over the microphone at this year’s Ladies Lunch, Trivia Night and Citibank Corporate Lunch.
